ST and AvoKey

Postby oaksld » 26 Oct 2019, 20:39

I see in the AvoKey instructions that the AvoKey comes with a USB connector that gets wired into older ST consoles.. Is there any reason that the Red Tip AvoKey can't just be plugged into any of the already accessible usb ports (other than the obvious chance of somebody removing it)?
I am on a major time crunch and any time I can save will be great.

Thanks again for everybody's help!

The red AvoKeys are intended to be fitted internally to avoid them being lost or stolen and so not to use an external port which may be required (although on the Sapphire there are quite a few of these). The software should still be able to detect it if it is plugged in externally but it would be recommended to put it inside as soon as possible. Note as the AvoKey must be paired and licensed with your console before it can be used you should allow time for this process to happen, ideally 24-48 hours in case of mishap.
