8 step colour chase

Dear all,
I want to make an 8 step colour chase, where I can top go to jump to the next cue. Is there an easy way to do the following:
I have 16 Fixtures (8 with colour wheel and 8 RGB fixtures). Base color is RED and I want White to step (with te go button) over the base colour in 8 steps (so 2 fixtures are white, while the rest is still RED).
I want to do the same, but than with 4 steps.
What is the easy way?
