Some dimmers are “linked” to other dmx channels?

Postby djsky » 28 Feb 2019, 18:13

Not sure how, but I have 5 dimmers as fixtures 21-25 in my show, taking up dmx channels 148-152. But in patch view the first two are also showing a lighting bolt behind the user no. and also appear to be taking up channels 153 and 154.

How can I remove this “link” to these other channels?

what version of Titan are you running. Got 11.1 here and it shows 2 fixtures with the same fixture number when that happens. When I park one of them it disappears

V11

I can only see 5 fixtures in my fixtures workspace window, but there are 7 in the list of patched fixtures, the last two have the same fixture and user no.

Just to add that this occurs if you patch more than one dimmer to the same handle.

Well, parked the first one, and then only had 6... 5 good, and one linked... one of the dodgy ones disappeared.

Parked the second, and it removed number 1 good one, and parked the dodgy one in the wrong address.

Un-parked it, and checked my dmx values, and they changed correctly with cues etc, albeit on the wrong address, so re-patched it to the original correct address and it “looks” as though everything is ok now.

Any ideas why this happened?

Also, seeing as I’m “spring cleaning” in my patch view, I can see under the “fixture type” column, a fixture that I don’t have patched anywhere... how can I remove this?

Unforunately you can't at the moment. This is a side-effect of information being retained for things like shared palettes. Hopefully this will be improved in a future version.

as this info has already been given away by officials on other mediums: the fixture type filter will only show fixture types present in your showfile in the next version of Titan
