Recording Pallette with Name/Legend bug?

When recording Pallettes, I can't seem to name them as I record them (i.e. set look, RECORD, Type Name, SELECT Pallette).

I have to record them, it gives it a default name, and then SET LEGEND to name them afterwards.

Is there something i'm missing?

This is probably due to the Record button traditionally being for recording playbacks so the legend you enter is only used when recording playbacks. There are several other ways you can record a palette for example if you click on an empty palette button you can type in a legend and either press Enter or the palette button again to record it. You can also press Record followed by Palette (next to the keypad) to get to the palette recording menu which gives you more options, some consoles have a dedicated Record Palette button or you can hold down the Avo key and Palette.
