Upgrading to 11.1

Postby grahamrobertslx » 28 Sep 2018, 11:58

Hi All.

Im having a issue installing 11.1 on a Tiger Touch Pro. Ive created a recovery stick and inserted it into the console but at Bios stage a get a error saying Operating system not found. Disconnect drives that don't contain an operating system.

Any advice?

Ive tried 2 memory sticks now.

Try disabling all other boot devices except Usb in BIOS (you will need to re-enable them after)

This is not my field of expertise so someone else might have better ideas.

Is UEFI boot enabled in Advanced->Boot Configuration? If not change it so that it is. If you then get an empty boot menu try pressing EXIT on the console keypad.

In case you are not aware you can just run the upgrade installer instead. The recovery improves memory handling (and therefore performance) in very large shows by taking advantage of funtions in an updated OS but if this doesn't apply to you then the upgrade installer should be fine and this is expected to be the upgrade path the majority of customers will take.

Just to update this, It turned out my SSD had developed a fault. After replacing the SSD everything is now fine.

Cheers Lee for your help!
