OK. So you clever guys out there probably think this question is simple but this is my first venture into Theatre Stack having run all previous shows on subs!

Need an idiots guide into creating 'hidden' scroller changes! Lets say I have recorded a setting on step 1 which includes red scrollers. Step 2 will include same scrollers but set to blue. I've managed to create step 1.5 which takes out the lamp and changes scroll but can't seem to link it so that step 1 runs through step 1.5 to step 2. Obviously doing something basically wrong but I am a bit of a dinosaur. Using Pearl 2000 with 2004 upgrade.

Any help would be appreciated, show opens next week!

That's not too difficult. Create a step 1.5 (you allready managed to do that) and fade into 1.5 so the scroller goes dark. Now you need to set it up for the next scene so you need to adjust timings on scene 2. Give it a waittime of 1 sec, and set LTP fade to 0. That way, the LTP will snap to it's new value (colour sheet) and then fades up. If you enable "link" for scene 2, it wil automatically load after the fade down to 1.5 is finished.

It would be nice to have a feature for this behaviour. It gets a bit worse than this; imagine you have some movers too. Now you would want them to calmly move to their next position, so LTP fade has to be 2 or 3. Now the scrollers will fade their colour sheet also, so you need a longer wait time. And it's only after that 3 second wait that the actual scene is ready to fade in. So that's taking a lot of time.

I don't really have an idea for improvement, but I do think there is room for some. Maybe a selection of fixtures which fade to 0, LTP snap and then come up again after a second or so? Creating a dark fade step for this takes a lot of time when you've got about 100 scene's programmed.
