Release Problem

Postby kimwida » 05 Feb 2018, 15:14

I got a red flash playback. (release mask : color only , release time : 0)
When I push it, my MHs turn to red and get back to original color on release.
It works well when I use quick color palette before using the playback.
But after I select my MHs and apply other color palette then clear, the red flash playback doesn't get back to the original color.
It just stay in red.
How can I make it to release in this case??

Unfortunately this is currently how it works. Actually it was the first thing I thought of when I investigated your mode 2 query. One of my personal annoyances. I'm not sure if there is a workaround other than to try and use quick palettes. There is a task to change the behaviour so hopefully it will be fixed in a future version.

After any color chase stops, next any "color release" playback doesn't work.

1) Push a playback button of any color chase. (Fire the playback)
2) Push it again. (Stop the playback)
3) Push twice simple red color playback. (release mask : color, release time : 0s)
4) Red color playback doesn't release.

After applying any quick palette, then it release.
And it does when the chases are running.

I'm not sure if there is anything wrong here. There is nothing active containing the colour control. What do you expect it to release to? The same would happen if the chase was just another static colour cue. Perhaps palettes should always form part of the stack but it I'm not entirely convinced.

Oh!!
So color release means to get back to the last active color control NOT last look.
I got wrong that color release means to get back any last look.
Now I understand it.
Thank you.
