About the tiger touch fader wing paging

Postby Peri_95 » 04 Jun 2017, 02:02

Hello community,

There is a thing that I can't find explanation for about the fader wing paging. Does the fader wing use existing pages and expand them for another 30 faders, buttons etc. or how does it work?

If you don't understand what I mean, I'll explain it here a little better.
Normally, without a fader wing, there are 60 playback pages, right?

So, when the fader wing is connected, it's used only to assign playbacks from the main console to itself so you can have page 1 and 2 on two rows of the wing and page 3 for example on the main console?
Or the existing 60 pages are just expanded for another 30 faders, which is better in my opinion?

Best regards,

The existing 60 pages are expanded to 30 faders.

I think it would be slightly more accurate to say each wing adds two additional playback storage areas (or handle groups as they're known) each of which has 10 faders and 60 pages.
If you have a wing connected and look in show library this is what you will see.

Hello riscster,

Thank you for your answer. Is then possible to pre program content for the fader wing without fader wing? To explain a little better. To program it on some pages in the main desk that I can put later on the fader wing?

Yes, you can move handles around as much as you want. You could place your extra pages anywhere you like on the main desk - if you need to keep them out of the way probably the best places would be (a page) in the playbacks window or you could keep them unassigned from handles completely and assign them via the show library when you have the wing. Ideally I think there should be a dedicated workspace that mirrors the Tiger Touch wing just like there is for the Mobile so that you could preassign.

To add, I'm fairly sure the Tiger Touch wing and the left-hand section of the Arena are seen as the same thing so you could also use the Arena simulator to assign handles.

Hello niclights,

Thank you very much. I'll try using the Arena simulator, I think it'll be the best solution.
