Problem with shapes

Postby phedias » 07 Apr 2017, 08:57

Good morning all. Today I encounter a strange behavior from my console (Pearl tiger 2008) that I didn't experience before.
1) I select a fixture (7R beam moving head) and I locate the fixture.
2) I select playback a shape. I choose Tilt saw shape or circle shape or in general any shape that pan or tilt attribute are included in my shape. The shape is functioning properly the way is expected and I can even adjust speed and size.
3) Here comes the problem…….. I select “remove shapes from selected fixtures” and the shape stop as expected but then the console crashes and cannot do anything like exit or locate or whatever. So the software is not responding unless I power off and power on again the console.
- I already try with a different personality to apply pan and tilt shapes using other fixtures and still have the same problem.
- I already test the console with other shapes like color shapes that Pan /tilt is not involved and the shapes are working properly.
- I already delete a lot from the internal memory to free some internal memory (now internal memory display 91% free)
PLEASE HAVE A LOOK ON MY PERSONALITY BELOW (that I create myself) and let me know if the problem comes from there!
Or let me know if I have to reinstall the Shape file in my console. By the way I am running software v1.1 Vid version

I am not familiar with this.

I'm not sure if it is related or even causes a problem but in your 7R personality the LSB controls for the 16bit attributes (ie. Pan Low and Tilt Low) should be allocated to bank and wheel slots 0 (ie. no slot as it is combined and allocated with its associated MSB).

For example:

Code: Select all

3     1   s   10   100   1N   E   1   "Pan"             127     0     0
0     0   L   11   100   1N   E   1   "Pan Low"         127     0     0
3    61   s   12   100   1N   F   1   "Tilt"            127     0     0
0     0   L   13   100   1N   F   1   "Tilt Low"        127     0     0

If that does not help then I see no harm in reloading the shape file (System/[Utilties]/[Load Shape File]).

Other things:
- Does this happen following a Wipeall?
- Does it work ok if you use DELETE/(toggle shapes for delete with softkeys)/<enter>/<enter>?

Thank you Nick. Solved out already. Problem was the Pan fine and Tilt fine. After i set both to 0 everything works properly!
