Hi guys i am using a Classic Pearl Tiger and i have the following problem with Pan fine and Tilt fine channels:
Whenever i patch a personality that contains pan fine & tilt fine attributes the console does not show me those attributes and therefore i cannot control Pan fine and Tilt fine on my fixture.Below i give a specific example:
i have a sixteen channel Moving light which i patch on my classic Pearl Tiger.When patching the fixture the console book 16 channels for my fixture as expected! Then i select the fixture and i go to select an attribute to control and there comes the problem!!!!! i see that i only have 14 channels instead of 16 (Pan fine & Tilt fine are missing) I checked the Personality and it looks fine (the Pan fine and tilt fine are correctly appears in the file). i try to patch different R20 files and i finally realized that whenever there is Pan fine & tilt fine in the personality itself they will never appears in the attributes within the console. is there a setting on the console that i have to set up for this? Any help will be much appreciated.

This sounds correct to me.

Each DMX channel is 8bit which means a maximum of 256 distinct values per channel. In order to provide greater resolution (particularly for pan/tilt) this can be increased to 65536 values by combining two 8bit channels (256x256).

'Fine' usually refers to the least significant bit (LSB) in an attribute with 16bit resolution. These are combined with the most significant bit (MSB) of the attribute (sometimes called 'Coarse').

When setup correctly, slowly increasing the value of a 16bit attribute will run from 0-255 in the LSB channel at which point the MSB will increment by 1 and the LSB will run from 0-255 again etc. If you press VIEW then [DMX Patch] you should see a 'Pan' and 'Pan Low' along with 'Tilt' and 'Tilt Low' (use the cursor up/down keys to bring the relevant channels into view if necessary). If you select the fixture in view and slowly adjust pan or tilt by wheel you should see this working.

It is important that that 16bit controls are combined like this otherwise fades would not work smoothly.

This is a personality file that makes my wonder. is pan tilt settings correct on this personality?

I'm not sure what 'Netdo-Library' is but this is definitely not supported or an official Avolites personality.

Pan and tilt are ok (assuming the channel offsets are correct) but there are lots of other errors.

Each attribute needs to be assigned to a unique wheel slot and have a unique attribute type (or be set to 'uncategorised'). In detail:

Has no wheel slot and has attribute type E (Pan) which conflicts with Pan/Pan Fine.

as above

has the same wheel slot as

has the same attribute type as

is currently set to be instant LTP (I). Assuming this is 'White' it should be set to LTP (L).

Finally, if you want the shape generator to work with colour mixing then the red, green and blue attributes need to be changed to attribute types T, U and V respectively (currently they are D- Yellow, B - Cyan and C - Magenta, respectively).

weel slot is the second colum Nick?

It is the first two columns.

Column one is the attribute bank where 1-10 is the first page and 11-20 the second (ie. 1= dimmer on page one, 2= shutter on page one, 11= dimmer on page two).

Column two is the wheel where 1= wheel A and 61= wheel B.

Note that for the first attribute bank (ie. dimmer page 1) you can only assign to wheel A. Wheel B is invalid here. Maximum number of wheel slots 39.
