Hi everybody!
I coded a little application that allows you to make custom .R20 files (fixture personality file) for Pearl/Azure/Sapphire consoles. It's a little interface for create R20 files easy and fast, without learn the library code and do it in notepad.
At the moment is not fully finished, there are some features not working, but now you can create basic/medium level R20 files.
Right now, it's in alpha version still, but I need some beta-testing; if you wanna test this program and give me your feedbacks, please contact me at raul_gomez[at]terra[dot]es or through the forum private messages, and I'll send you the program.
Warning:
This software
IS NOT an Avolites' made/supported software, and currently is in alpha version; use it and its generated R20 files at your own risk!
Thank You and Best Regards!!

PS: Just to clarify, currently, this software has left to be an
alpha or beta version, and its fully functional, just download it
and try.

No takers on your Beta test? have you continued to develope?

Thanks for your interest Beaker.
The software is stable now, and it's ready to download at:
http://www.albadalejo.com/raul/software/R20PB.zip
Some features are missing still (we're working on it), but you can now create a full fixture personality file with all major features like autopalletes, channel range descriptions, custom patching text, etc...
Other features like macros and edit R20 files are in developing and should be ready soon.
You're welcomed to test it and send me your feedback.
Thank you.

Hi Raul,
its awsome!
I downloaded it and it worked greatly.
Very easy to use and absolutly no notepad!!!
My only critisism is that some of it is perhaps a little fiddly and time consuming, but it still beats notepad.
My suggestion would be that perhaps you could intergrate the part where you name the colours to autopallets. Ie you have a radio button asking if you want to make it an autopallet - and you can assign the button etc?
Anyway, thumbs up from me, a great bit of software and a must for Avo users..

Hi neil,
I'm proud you like it.
Can you explain a little bit what you mean in your suggestion? You mean in the add autoPalletes window? where exactly?
The idea is to make some "created" autopalletes (for CYM colors, RGB colors, P/T, etc).
Regards.

Sorry what I meant was I spend ages telling it what colours are which values and names. Ie naming the colours next to the value in the first bit.
Then to create the autopallets I then have to tell it AGAIN in the Tables what values should be a colour and assign it to a button. I think it would be better to have an option for each colour do you want to make it an autopallet - if so which button - otherwise I am doing a job twice.

Hi Raul,
I wanted to put you in direction of the post below:
http://avolitesshop.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=2478#2478
I wondered if when I put in the values they need to be Hex or the software translates them?
Cheers

It is decimal values 0-255 (as it tells you in the instant help!)
It was also very easy to try yourself, since there is no way to enter alpha characters
@Raúl: This gave me opportunity to try & I am impressed. Very nice application so far.
Two quick things I noticed:
'Attributes' is spelled incorrectly & I would suggest 'customisable' instead of US spelling 'customizable', but that's just my preference!
Crash bug - Run application & continue with file. When I try to edit a predefined palette I get a runtime error.

@neil > Don't know what is wrong? You set digital values (0-255) because is the most common way you'll find it on manuals and application will translate it to hexadecimal (as console understanding).
@niclights > Thanks. I'll fix spelling issues. Problem with crash in palletes is solved in new version (and other bugfixes with channels range), however, can send me your crashlog file and let me know how to reproduce it? (for avoid new bugs) thanks.

A new version is now available at:
http://www.albadalejo.com/raul/software/R20PB.zip
It contains a lot of bugfixes and other tools.
Auto update for future versions via Internet.
The new version is very stable now, and generated R20 files work so good!
Please, send me your comments about.
Best Regards,

over here on my winXP pro-UK it wont work. It installs fine, when I run it, all boxes turn green, and then it just terminates without any error codes
