Pearl Tiger with a midi keyboard

Postby kimwida » 16 Aug 2016, 11:51

As mentioned in Pearl Tiger manuals, I succeeded to connect my midi keyboard(Alesis Q25) to Pearl Tiger.

But when I hold down a button on my Q25 keyboard, the fixtures didn't stay to light on. It just flashed out.

Whenever I hold down a button, they stayed to light on in a few times, not always.

So I checked the midi codes.

When I push one button, it gives me "90 30 7f". After release it, "80 30 40". (I already set velocity midi parameter to 127.)

There is no difference of the midi results between stay on and flash.

I don't know why it flash out.

Any advice??

Is there other midi parameters that I should touch for this continuous lights on??

I think I found it.
There are MIDI Control Change Messages that can "HOLD NOTES".
MIDI CC 64,65 and 69!!!
===============================
Well I tried MIDI CC 64(sustain ON). It was better than before but still flash.
Maybe I should translate mapping "Note Off" to "Note On with 0 velocity".
================================
I've done it with midi-ox that supports midi mappings.
================================
I only get expecting results as playback fader is 100% when I hit a key on my Q25.
If a playback fader is 0%, it flash out. I don't know why.
