V10 upgrade, Arena screen issue

Postby ArieGroen » 20 Jul 2016, 13:45

HI,

On the Arena we use a 3rd touch screen and this config worked fine in V9.
2 weeks ago, we upgraded our Arena to V10.
Now, the small Arena screen does not function properly. It displays the workspaces OK but the mouse (touch) is out of sync.
It looks like the mouse/touch is misaligned or has another resolution than the graphics on the screen.
When touching the crosshair, in calibration, in the left upper corner I see the echo of my touch in the right upper corner of the main screen.
When disconnecting the 3rd screen or disable it's touch function, all works ok!
Is there a known driver issue or a new screen limit in V10?

regards,
Arie

Have you tried to calibrate the touch screen? You should be able to use the options under Tools > Control Panel > Touch Screen Setup.

Gregory,

Yes, we did. That's where I saw the echo 5 cm from the touch.

While calibrating you will often see the previous touch points before it recalculates them at the end. It may be worth going into Control Panel > Tablet PC Settings and reset the calibration data. If that does not resolve it you can do a 16 point calibration from there as well.

We did a reset of the calibration and a 16 point calibration too. No luck.
Then disabling touch on screen3 (or disconnecting the whole screen) and.... whoops there it is. all ok.
Re-enabeling touch on screen3, problem returns......

What is the external touch screen? I am assuming from what you have said so far that the external screen is configured using the same Windows Touch tools.

Does it make a difference if you rearrange the monitors in Display Settings so that the external monitor is either to the left of or above the main touch screen?

It seems to make no difference when positioned above or left of the main screen.
Not sure which brand it is. Venue is closed for holidays now but as soon as I'm there, I'll let you know.

or, we might meet each other in the AVO office since we won the golden tickets.........

Cheers,
Arie
