I'm trying to work out a way of having just one BPM master in a venue, and having different flashes that flash in time with the BPM master.
Simply changing colour on the beat is no problem, but what if I want to flash in time with the beat?
I thought I could have a two-step chase (shutter open, shutter closed) insert an extra steps between to make it open, close, open, close, and then trigger the inserted shapes "with previous" but with a 0.2s delay. But this is only available on cue lists.
so then on to cue lists, whilst these can be linked "with" or "after previous" cue lists can't seem to be fired in sequence by the BPM master? Or am I missing something?

Only chases, shapes and pixel map effects have a BPM value so only these are affected by the BPM master. Note that shapes run an entire cycle for each beat whereas chases progress forward a step each beat. In this case you could use this to your advantage by recording a key frame shape to do the inter-beat shutter changes, this could either be recorded into a separate cue controlled by the same BPM master or into the same chase.

Cheers Gregory
I had looked at somehow using a shape to do the inter-step shutter, but couldn't see a "shutter-shape" only intensities... And I'd forgotten completely about the key-frame shapes...
Funny how with this completely technical piece of kit how you sometimes forget what it's capable of.

You think this is gonna change in V10?
So the shapes can also be controlled by step with the bpm master, and for the key frame shapes it might be usefull if it's possible to set 'key frame bpm points' which counts as a step.

We have been looking into some changes in this area however these won't be part of v10.0.
