SMPTE timecode with coolux SMPTE link cable

Postby yanlingg13 » 25 Feb 2016, 05:41

Hi All!

I need some help with SMPTE programming
Currently I have an Arena console with Coolux media manager (PC software).
We wanted to use Coolux to control our Avolites console via SMPTE timecode, so we use SMPTE Link cable (smpte timecode generator) from the pc with coolux software to our Avolites console.
All settings were done on coolux and I'm not very sure if there are any other settings that need to be done on avo side:

I activated the Timecode on both sides ( Avolites: timecode, smpte trigger, timer enable) but couldn't receive any signal on my console.
Went under USB expert to check the incoming signal for SMPTE but also wasn't receiving any.
We also did try to send the signal to a audio mixer and confirm that the signal is being outputted from coolux.

Is there anything else that I should check? one last thing, our smpte cable from coolux was usb - smpte, will it affect the connection too?

regards,
Yanling
