So I made a 4 step colourbump chase, on a few RGB fixtures.
Then set 'Cue Release On'.
And it works, my fixtures bump to Yellow and goes back to whatever colour I selected.

But then I press Clear and suddenly the fixtures goes back to White instead of the colour it was before.
So again I select 'all RGB fixtures' press the blue colour, and the chase works as it should be.
Pressing Clear, and it does not stay on blue but turns to white..

Why is that?

Try toggle softkey option 'Release to Home = Disabled' in the Release Playback menu. Or use quick palettes (ie. don't select fixtures).

The 'Release to Home = Disabled', does not work for this situation.
Yes, quick palettes works. But asuming I have more then 1 type of fixture, and don't want to set the same colour for all fixtures.

What also works is to exclude the colour attribute from the clear button (and remember mask)
But I'm never done programming during shows so at some point, I do want to clear the colour. (i.e. changing a position palette)

Guess I should just avoid the clear button, while running a 'Release Cue' Chase.

Apologies. Release to home disabled should work for this but I forgot that it isn't at the moment.
