Swop / Flash function issue with PEXP

Hi All!

I have a scenario over here,
I have all my playback faders programmed with same fixtures of different looks.
example, Fader A has spots in red+ a position and Fader B has spots in blue+ a position.
Fader A is pushed up, then I flash/ swop fader B. Once flash/swop is released, my spots should go back to fader A look however it remains with fader B content.
This works for pearl 2004 console, not sure whether this function has been removed from Titan software?

I've tried changing key profile but it doesn't work. Only setting all cues to fade mode 3 will do the trick but it takes a lot of time to change all the cues one by one.
Is there any way to achieve this with a single setting (like key profile?)

Please help

Thanks!!

This is the correct behaviour as the attributes are LTP (latest takes precedence) and would have been exactly the same in the Classic software unless the attributes were HTP.

In Titan the solution is to set a release mask. On the Pearl Expert you can do this globally by pressing OFF then [Global Mask] and toggle the relevant attribute groups to include. This will then apply to any playback whose release is set to global (default).

Hi Niclights,

Is there any way to go around this default?
Or can we set some macros or key profile to make it work?

thanks!

The global release mask function was designed for this purpose. It's only a few key presses that you do once for a show, no?

Ahh sorry to confuse you, its not to release the playbacks tho.

The console that I'm working on is at a club venue, so the programmer wanted to swop/ flash cues easily and quickly go back to the cue which has the fader pushed up.

Swop and flash works well with faders with different fixtures programmed in them :
Fader A wash with red, Fader B spot with blue.
Fader A up, swop in Fader B. Once swop from B is unselected, Fader A with wash goes back into the output.
Or if Fader A up, flash Fader B, spot and wash added together. Once flash from fader B is unselected, Fader A goes back to solo output (only wash)

But if both faders are programmed with spot, we cant achieve the function above due to LTP logic. Fader B will replace fader A content and it will only go back yo Fader A when A is retriggered. Hence is there any other way that we can do/ do i have to use fade mode 3 to achieve that effect?

Release is the answer but I have now noticed that there appears to be a bug where global release masks are ignored with flash/swop, sorry. So for now it looks like a per playback setting. However, this can be quite quick to do as the menu holds and the attribute bank keys are a shortcut to local include. For example [Playback Options]/<select playback>/press Colour (= release colour for that playback)/<select next playback>/Colour/<select next playback> etc.

In the meantime I will enter this into the system.
