Chase into Show

Postby skogason » 02 Jan 2006, 10:43

Hi!

Is there a way to import a chase from a disk into a show on the Pearl2004?

If so, how?

Thanx!

No, would be nice though. The difficulty comes with the fact that you can not ensure the patch is the same.

But why is there, when you press "Disk", an option called "Import Chase"? :?

It is to import from a PC.

Quote from 2004 Manual:

F [Import Chase] – You can import a matrix chase created on an external PC application using this feature. To import a chase, insert the disk containing the chase you wish to import and select this option.

However, I have never understood the function. I don't think it was ever documented before.

Does such an application exist and if so how does it work?

Yes it does... I think Shad created it for someone years ago. It basically allows you to set up a matrix of generics and easily design chases to run over them from memory. I can't actually remember how it works or anything since I only saw it briefly!

It was a custom update for LD Dave Gibbon and Darren Parker at DPL...

The whole thing is explained in a bit more detail here....

I knew about that show & the custom software, but from (questionable) memory the import function was available long before that.

Awesome show from Mr. Gibbo though. Very jealous!

Ok - I thought the two were linked a little more intimately....

Oops - I meant the software and <import chase> NOT Gibbo and Darren.

(another one for the lawyers! )
