Hey guys,

Basically I have a Perl Expert that is currently running version 7.2 I believe and would like to do some offline patching / editing of the show file (as we have limited time on the console)

Am i able to download the Titan software suit and patch the perl using the version 9 software or do I need to find a version 7 of the software? I am also not allowed to update the desk either :/

Sorry if this question has been answered before. (Bit of an Avo noob too!)

Many thanks,

Tom

My suspicious nature wonders if this is a copy console as they do not want you to update it. Version 7 is the last version that would work.

You will not be able to load a V9 version into V7. You will also struggle to aquire a version of this software as it was time limited to a specific date.

Hey,

It's a legitimate console, it's because it's part of my university - Updating it unfortunately is out of the question as people use it for coursework. Will any version 7 work with the console or does it need to match the console version?

EDIT: Forgot to say thank you for answering my question :)

EDIT2: Also any chance you have an archive copy anywhere of v7?

You have missed my point that the V7 license expired 12 months after release. So even if I gave you a version of the software it would not work.

The earliest software you will find officially available is V8.

I suggest explaining this to your tutor and that upgrading is free and should not have any effect on coursework. If they have any questions or need further assistance just ask.
