Cue recording strangness

Recently, without warning, when I record a new cue on a submaster - whatever is up on another sub gets recorded into my new cue. What gives? And why did this just start happening? Sometimes, another sub doen't even have to be up - just the last one used. This is espcially troublesome when I am trying to make a p/t or shape only cue.

Oops - I forgot: Pearl 2004 with latest software.

Odd. I've never seen that.

Silly question, but I assume you have made certain that the information is not in the programmer for some reason?

Does this happen even after a reset?

AFAIK the only way you should be able to store/record information without it being in the programmer is via 'Record Stage'.

Yea, re-sets. Clear memory, yada, yada. I have never seen this before. I record as usual - record memory. Merge memory.

I suggest you mail your showfile to Olie and give an example of how to reproduce.

It bight be useful to see if you can make this happen after a wipeall.

I've tried a wipe all and re-install of show. I normally run as "Record By Fixture", but this problem seems to go away if I record by channel.

Sorry, I wasn't clear about the wipeall. I was trying to determine whether it was showfile or desk/software related, ie. Wipeall, patch something, record a memory etc.

I never use 'record by fixture' but I will have a look.

I will try that when I get the chance. Today begins a busy weekend.

I did have a quick play with 'rec by fixture', but I could not replicate.

If you can always repeat I would definitely email your showfile to Olie with instructions, since it may be traceable to a potential bug that I would rather not encounter!
