Failed to Extract WIM Image - Overlapped I/O Operation is in progress

I'm really struggling with my TT (Serial 418). I'm trying to do a full erase recovery on it with Recovery Creator Version 8 and I've tried 4 different USB sticks with FAT and NTFS formatting with Rufus as suggested on the website. I've even turned off the format option on the recovery software and each time I'm getting a "Failed to Extract WIM Image - Overlapped I/O Operation is in progress" error message and told to restart. I re-downloaded the 8.0 recovery creator from the website to just make sure it wasn't a corrupt download and I'm really at the end of my knowledge on this one...

Currently I've got a show coming up on the console this week so would love to get it working. Can you help me on any pointers and where I might be going wrong?

Thanks!

Dan

Hade same problem with two of my TT.
First TT I throw out of the window than I nailed it upp on the wall becaus I amto tired of usb sticks that not works and lagging consoles.
Second one I did a standard recovery v6 with a old usb stick I found. Then I did a full erase v9. same usbstick. Woked for me. Use rufus and uncheck format in the install and it maby work.

I have done some googling on this error and here are some things you could try. Are you always using the same PC to create the recovery sticks? Most of the info I found on this error point to a problem with the PC not the USB stick.

- disable any virus scanners/anti malware
- use a different USB port
- ensure you are not using an un-powered USB hub
