Global Shape palettes not applying to some Robe fixtures ?

I have an issue with global shape palettes not applying correctly to some clubscan250CT fixtures. I've been following the on line video tutorial and there''s something distinctly odd going on !
Create a new show with some fixture types in it - MAC600, Robe LEDBeam 100 and Robe Clubscan 250CT in my case.
- Select MAC's, locate, create tilt saw (fixtures are on and moving), save tilt saw as quick palette in to shape&effects palette. Shows as Global FX palette.
- Clear.
- Select LEDBeams, Locate, click tilt saw palette and LEDBeams saw as expected.
- Clear
- Select Robe Clubscan250CT, locate (fixture comes on), click tilt saw palette and...nothing happens. I can control the position on the wheels so it's definitely patched correctly.
Second experiment...
- Select Clubscans, locate, create pan saw, save as quick palette in to shapes&effects palette. Palette shows as Global FX palette.
- Clear
- Select LEDBeams, locate, apply pan saw and fixtures move as expected.
- Clear
- Select Clubscans, locate, apply pan saw and...nothing happens. Can still control pan and tilt on wheels.
Any clues ?!
Thanks,
John.
