What about anAvo Zirconium (small pearl)

Postby Mystic » 26 Oct 2005, 16:20

I just thought about an possible avo new product. What about taking the pearl 2004 design and trying to make a lower cost desk. First keep only 10 preset faders (only one card) and something like 5 to 10 memories. It should also be possible to rip off the LCD screen and use only the external VDU. If you really want to cut the price, remove the rolacue (but that could remove the essence of the desk)...

If this is possible with low devellopment in the OS, we could have a low cost avo console (low development cost, fewer hardware...) that could address the 3000 euros range (2000 pounds right ?) for a full featured desk.

Do you think this is a possible product idea ?

well the azure is still in the high price range, and the product is quite different from a pearl (well ok sort of). The idea is to propose an easy to build low cost pearl to attract people to the avolites range...

ps: in fact i thought about this when my pearl failed and i realized i cannot afford a new one ;)

As I understand approx £4000 list. Release around Feb '08.

This may of course be wholly inaccurate!
