Titan Mobile 9.0 Dongle Not Found

trying to get my mobile to run off my laptop, downloaded 9.0

After installation, I run mobile and it goes straight to Dongle Not Found!

I have gone through USB expert and nothing can be updated and the acw is running, and it is not in boot mode. I can see:

Titan Mobile DMX Panel 1
Titan Mobile Panel 1

in the Connected panels screen.

pressing buttons and faders shows response.

without changing anything I can plug the same usb cables into my small computer that was previously running titan mobile, on a previous version, so it seems that the console and cables are fine, just cant get it working on the new laptop.

It is running windows 8.1

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Have you tried updating the software license. I had a similar problem updating to 8.0 but doing the licensing procedure fixed it.

It wont even allow me to do that. It boots right into "Dongle Not Found!" screen and there's no options or buttons to push, just text "Please make sure you have inserted an avolites titan dongle"

Try going here:

http://www.avolites.com/software/titan-licensing

every pc/ laptop/ etc needs it's own licencing key.

Please check that Windows is using the correct drivers for the Titan Mobile as follows:
  • Ensure the Titan Mobile is connected to your PC using the top connector (A).
  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand the category called System devices.
  • Right click on Avolites Security Key and select Update Driver Software...
    • If Avolites Security Key does not appear, expand the category called Avolites and check if TM-MB appears twice.
    • Usually it is the second one that you need to update but if you select the wrong one it will not do any harm.
  • Select Browse my computer for driver software.
  • Then select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
  • From the list select USB Input Device and click Next.
  • Once the driver has finished installing close the dialog and Device Manager.
  • Start the Titan Mobile software.
