at my church we are currently running 2 avolites consoles (one in main worship center and one in the youth building). I have tried this on both consoles and got the same result. All of the shapes that have actual shapes in their name (circle, square, diamond), and the P/T swing and saw all work perfectly. But when I select my moving head fixtures and try to select a shape involving something like dimmer, pulse, or rainbow, I see the shape on stage, but the console locks up. This happens on both 2000 and 2004 consoles.
Anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thanks,
James Poole

it did the same thing on all of the following fixtures:
Pearl 2004 Console:
-martin mac 600
-martin mac 2000 profile
-martin roboscan 1220
-elation powerspot 250
Pearl 2000 Console:
high end x.spot
high end studio color HX
martin roboscan 918
elation powerspot 250
i tried it on each fixture seperately, and got the same result: a lockup.
Pearl 2004 Console:
-martin mac 600
-martin mac 2000 profile
-martin roboscan 1220
-elation powerspot 250

Even stranger. Clearly not fixture related.
How about the software versions? (System menu)
Are there any bus errors?
Unless there is something obvious I am missing, then I am inclined to think that a showfile and/or shapefile has become corrupt. I had been quite sceptical about corrupt showfiles until recently when I saw an example where some fixtures would not locate, even though they otherwise seemed to work correctly. After much head-scratching I noticed that all the attribute names had disappeared from above the wheels. Somehow the personality had become corrupt.
You could try loading a new shapefile (SHAPE.DAT)
Can you repeat this from a wipeall/fresh patch?
/Edit. Of course since you have different fixtures in the two venues I am guessing this is not a shared file either. The plot thickens! Perhaps there is something wrong with the latest shapefile?
