V9 strange behavior when fading cues with key frame shapes

Anyone else noticing lots of off behavior when mixing in a cue with another containing keyframe shapes?
Current testing: I have a large group of generic rgb fixtures patched with an applied phased color key frame shape recorded to a handle. I have another handle with a static color recorded to all fixtures. When I bring in the static cue while the fx cue is running, the cue with the effect seems to phase reset as well as have a quick burst of data across all channels. When I bring the static cue to zero there is another quick burst of data across all channels and certain channels seem to remain merged with the output until I re-fire the handle with the fx cue.
I have verified the same results through real world fixtures patched to DMX output on Titan Mobile and artnet out of computer running Titan Mobile.
