I have the following scenario: a playback running, containing all attributes for some movingheads and some dimmers, let's say at 100%. I would like to create a second playback that sets the dimmers to zero, while the first playback is still running.

I tried this using priorities, but it doesn't work for dimmer channels.

You have two options depending on what you wish to dow.

1) Assign a group the a fader and set it to scale, this will then control the intesity of all fixtures in the group.
2) Set a playback to XFade.

The ability though to override the HTP behaviour is not something we currently have though.

Unfortunately, I would have wanted some dimmers to go to zero (brutally) when I press a macro/executer button on my Titan Mobile, and then, when I release the button, to come back to the value in the playback that is still running. The ability to override the HTP behaviour is what I wanted, but i didn't know how to put it into words

If all you want to do is momentarily kill the intensities of other playbacks then you can setup the the executor action to be swop. For this to work the executor needs some data but this could just be a single dimmer at zero.

Alternatively if you want to latch the solo or have it on a fader you can use mode 3.
If you setup an empty playback and set it to mode 3 ([Edit Times]) then activating this will proportionally (by fader) reduce all intensities from active playbacks that are at the same or lower priority. Flashing this will kill intensities. Lowering fader/releasing flash will restore intensities.

In both cases to retain some intensities either place these in a playback with a higher priority level or include them in the swop/mode 3 playback.

Note that when using swop it's a good idea to set positional shape playbacks to a higher priority so that they don't stop/start on pressing/releasing a swop button.

We really need something that functions as Temp fader (GrandMA2) / IPCB fader (Hog 4) in Titan!!

Just out of curiosity - and maybe to clarify things about that feature request :

It seems to me that IPCB faders on Hog4 are the same as mode 2 faders in Avo. Or am I missing something ?
Difference is Hog4 control intensities as LTP channels by default, leaving users an option to set intensities to HTP at a cue/cuelist level.
As Avo's default is HTP, it could be nice indeed to have an option to do the opposite.

Not so shure of how MA2 Temp faders works, so I'll let you confirm/correct the following :
Regarding fade mode, if I remember correctly it's also mode 2 (but in MA you can set a low value, right ?)
Regarding intensity control, beside HTP they also offer an LTP over HTP option at a cue level (well, fader/executor level), and this is called 'Swap'.
There are more LTP options, with two or three different priority levels. I think this works similarly to Avo's playback priorities - except it also apply to those LTP intensities, of course. Is that correct ?

The problem is you can't handle dimmers as LTP on Titan unless you are in mode 3. Mode 3 isn't an a viable solution if you have output on other playbacks that you don't want overridden.

Example MA2: I have 24 dimmers on MA2, and program a cue on an executer with all at full. I then make another cue on a different executer with 1 through 8 at full and 9 through 12 at zero, and make this a temp fader. If I bring up the temp fader while the all full cue is running, my output would be: 1 through 8 at full, 9 through 12 at zero, and 13 through 24 (unaffected by temp fader) at full.


Example Hog4: Same as above but using 'IPCB' fader in place of 'temp' and setting playback priority to 'persist on over-ride' on the original playback handle so the original cue doesn't release.
