Shape playback not working.

We have the Pearl 2000 desk, and the problem we're having is that the shape playback isn't working at all. After selecting fixtures I try to playback a shape in shape generator, nothing happens. The desk won't open the playback-menu. We've been wondering and trying to remember if the shapes need to be downloaded from a disk or something, but as you can guess, none of us can remember, heh..
Physically the A-softbutton is ok, it works in other menus.
Someone please help, 'cause we're starting to get lost with this thing!
