Now I have my Mobile running, I want to connect it to Capture running on another computer on my home network (192.168.1.x). The computer with Capture is a Mac.
In Capture on the Mac I can see the Titan computer's name in 'Project console link', but there's no 'external universe' shown in the window above. I've not changed any settings in Titan>DMX settings, so the console may not be outputting anything to the network.
I struggling to find any clear instructions on how to set up the desk to use with Capture. I can see instructions in the Titan manual to install ACDI, but as I'm using a Mac with Capture I don't know what I need to do!
Can someone help?

Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
You don't need ACDI. In DMX Settings you need to assign an Art-Net node to one of the lines. So, for example, in the nodes section on the left-hand side of DMX Settings expand the Art-Net section and then click on 'Broadcast Universe 0' then click on 'Line 1' on the right-hand side. This will assign Art-Net universe 0 to line 1.
Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
Thanks Nic. Do I need to change the if addresses to 2.0.0.x, or can they stay as they are?
Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
Everything needs to be on the same subnet. ie. 192.168.x.x
Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
Still no luck Nic. I have Artnet node 0 assigned to line 1, and the IP address set to the same as the laptop (I assume it should it be the same, or should I give Titan a different address on the same network?). Same as before, the project console link field in Capture sees the laptop, but there's no external universe showing?
Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
Some progress...
So I've upgraded to the latest version of Capture Argo (20.1.4), and now have the external universe showing the Titan Mobile (whether I set line 1 to Art-Net or sACN).
I've patched a few conventional fixtures, and 'rigged' them in Capture. In the Titan Visualiser I can see the fixtures dimming correctly, but the fixtures in Capture don't respond.
This is driving me nuts!

Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
Have you set one of the views in Capture to 'Live'?
Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
Yup!
The desk/Titan are definitely working correctly, outputting DMX, as my lights work fine. Capture is seeing Titan as the connected line appears in external universe and I can see the patch in Capture. The issue seems to be that Capture isn't seeing any DMX output from Titan, or there's no DMX output from the Art-Net node - can this be switched on and off?
Just to check again - I have the Art-Net node set to the same IP address as the computer, the universe is 0 and system is 0 - are there correct.
There's obviously a setting somewhere I've missed, but what?!

Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
In testing here I have Broadcast: Universe 0 assigned to line 1. The properties for this node are 'Live DMX', IP 255.255.255.255, Universe 0, System 0.
In Capture Argo two External universes show - '<computer name/local IP>, Avolites Titan Broadcast: Universe 0' and 'ArtNet Universe 0, Sub-Net 0, Input 1'.
For some reason in this configuration the '....Avolites Titan Broadcast' does not work, but 'ArtNet Universe 0' does. I don't fully understand why, but it works. So, if you are seeing more than one external universe in Capture try unassigning by right-clicking the universe next to the line in 'Project Universes' and select 'Clear connection with external universe'. Then right-click the alternative universe in the 'External Universes' section and select 'Connect to selected project universe'.
See if that helps!

Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
Thanks Nic, I've packed it all away for the evening...will try that tomorrow.
Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
Try using ACN instead of ArtNet, it is much more forgiving if you have not setup the network correctly. Also make sure you are using a switch!

Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
I have tried Ollie! I've so far had no success with ACN or Art-Net, using Capture on the same PC or on the network. In all cases Capture can see Titan, but seems not to be receiving any DMX.
Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
What version of Capture are you using? I would recommend contacting Capture as it sounds like something with your Theatre. I am assuming you have patched the fixtures in capture.

Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
It's Argo 20.1.4 (latest)...the fixtures are patched. I'll have 1 more try later to check the things Nic posted last night, then will contact Capture.

Re: Connecting Titan Mobile to Capture
Did you enable DMX output for the sACN module? In system mode -> DMX settings, click on the little 'i' - then toggle the first context function.
