I recently happened upon a happy ability - while using Titan One as my "console" for a gig, I was able to use a second PC (running Titan Simulator) to log in via Titan Net as a Slave console. I didn't stay hooked up for long, as I was simply experimenting, but this led to some curiosity on my part.
- Is this an intentional feature?
- Does the scrambling of DMX output still occur as when running Titan Simulator normally?
- I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro that I could potentially hook up to a TitanNet session as a slave PC. Could I then use it as a fully functional "Remote Focus" device? (Albeit, within range of a LAN?)
- Are there any pitfalls with this approach?
- Has anyone had any success using the Titan systems this way?
It seems that, as long as the "Master" console is a fully licensed Titan device (Expert, Mobile, One, Sapphire...), a tablet PC could be a great "Walkabout" tool to use in conjunction with the Remote app for simple channel control and palette setup.
Thoughts?

Re: Titan Simulator as a Focus Remote?
This is most certainly intentional and you do not even need TitanOne dongle. You can use the offline editor without a T1 connected and it can connect to any TitanNet session. I have done this a few times as it can be useful to have a separate laptop to have an extra display for say a cue list or allow someone else to make minor edits to your show.
The only thing you have to bear in mind is that the Master console must be fully licensed and capable of outputting the number of DMX lines you require. If you used the simulator as the master then the DMX would output but with a spoiler even if a full console is connected.
