Hi :D ,

I'm trying to connect my Titan software (V7.5/7.4) to Coolux media server via ArtNet with a Cat5 crossed cable
As my console is not able to patch coolux via 'Active Fixture' hence i had to use Fixtures to patch it in.
But after i've patched my media server, i wasn't able to preview the media thumbnails which is in the 'Attribute Editor' even though that i had activated the artnet input and CITP exchange thumbnails in my server.

Please help!

A while ago, I wrote a little howto about exactly this issue: http://www.avolites.de/test/Coolux_ArtNet_CITP_en.pdf. You will find this slightly outdated - I need to test it with the current versions, but at the very least it should explain the background.

Which exact Coolux hard- and software are you using? Which personality did you use?

Thumbnails work only if patched as active fixture...

Best, Sebastian

It seems that Coolux is there in the CitpFixtureMapping.xml only in versions 3 and 4 - and currently I have no means to check how the server 5.7 propagates itself (the string sent over ethernet which is used to identify it). Maybe you'd be in touch with Avolites directly - they should be able to fix this for you.

Please contact fixturesupport [at] avolites.com for further support. If you can include with your email the log files from your console it may help to speed up your request. Log Collector can be found under the Tools > Additional Programs menu on the console, when you click Go you will be prompted for a location to save the log file to. The logs will be saved in zip file with the name of the console and date they were taken. If the file is too large to be sent via email please use a file transfer service such as WeTransfer or Dropbox and send us a link.
