bizarre, but since I update titan remote on version 8 is no longer working. colleagues ipad, samsung galaksy s 4 and the latest Neksus phone works great. but my galaksy s 3 home screen shows titan emulator and UNKNOWN DEVICE with the correct IP address. have any ideas why?

It seems to be a bug within the connect part of the remote application.
Since previous posts does not contain any solutions for this problem, I have managed to find an older version of the titan remote (V7).
Remark that version 8 titan software is not supported there.

When your consoles are running version 7 titan software, you will be fine using the older version of the app.
Set your android device that it wont update applications automatically, otherwise you will have the same issue within a few days since the newer version 8 will be installed on your android device.

It seems indeed that remote app 8.0 does not work with Titan v.7.

Can you tell us where you found the older version of the remote app ?

I did some really long googling on that piece of software.
I have downloaded it now to my phone device and maybe there is a way to share it.

The size of the .apk package ( which is used for android devices) is 13,8MB
So if you have a method, I will share it with you.

I am trying to run my Tiger Touch 7.2 with Titan Remote App V8, It finds the console on the network, but when you select the board the show will not load.
I really looking for a way to install the V7 for the remote control, if anybody can help I'll appreciate.

Is there a reason why you haven't updated the console software? 7.2 is getting rather old now.

If a device is showing up as unknown it can either be due to them being on incompatible software versions as above or due to a firewall blocking some of the communication. If you're attempting to connect to a PC, open Network and Sharing Centre then Advanced sharing settings and ensure that Turn on network discovery is selected.
