Tiger Touch Wing?

Postby funkyant » 09 Jun 2014, 11:21

I have heard rumours. Is there really one coming?

Any details?

As an aside, I notice the Sapphire touch wing just connects with DVI and USB. Would it work with a TT?

I love the TT, but you run out of faders quickly when busking a decent sized rig.

It is (or was) a bit more than rumors :

See text and third, sixth and seventh pic.

I don't know if is still developed - and I'd really like to know, too.
This year's Prolight and Sound show is now behind and I can't find any news about TT fader wing.

The good news we had, however, is that the mobile fader wing can be connected to every Titan console, giving you 20 extra faders and 30 executors on a compact (and independently paged) wing for a reasonable price.

As for sapphire wing compatibility, it seems that it is not possible - same goes for the expert wing, you cannot use it on a TT (which has no DVI connector anyway, and VGA to DVI-I connectors won't do the trick).
There's a compatibility graph on the second page of this french reseller's document :

I can't answer your question about TT Wing, but AFAIK Mobile Wing can be used with everything except T1. ST Wing on ST only. Also, just to clarify the comment above, AFAIK the connectors used to connect the wings are merely a way to facilitate this. The output of the DVI connector is not compatible with anything else.

Sorry, just to clarify Nic clarification. The DVI port on the Pearl Expert uses custom signals and is therefore incompatible with standard monitors. However the DVI ports on the Sapphire Touch are standard DVI-D meaning that they will work with most DVI monitors but do not carry the additional VGA signal used by simple adaptors.

Can't wait for delivery of this bad boy. Then counting down to Titan 8 and a new shape generator. Then life will be complete :D
