Titan Mobile upgrade

Postby nishrigo » 05 Jun 2014, 17:32

I have a show which was originally programmed on the Pearl Expert v6.1. I then transferred to a friend's Titan Mobile (also on v6.1) and the show went very well. Now I have tweaked the show on the Expert (v7.4) and wanted to transfer it to the Titan Mobile. Obviously I have to upgrade the the software there as well, but I believe that it is not an easy process. So I have 2 questions -

1. How do I activate the Titan Mobile? - it does not seen to respond to the laptop, and says that Titan dongle not connected.

2. Do I need to repeat the process for activating the software/hardware from each laptop that I would use to connect to the Titan Mobile, and thereby run the show?

To update my previous post in the same threat -

I managed to upgrade to v7.5 on my laptop and got the temporary licence for the software/hardware. But when I do a clean install on my friend's Laptop, I am still getting the same message of "Please make sure you have inserted an Avolites Titan dongle". I tried a third Laptop, and Titan Mobile works fine. But not with the Laptop that matters... And he has been using this Laptop with Titan Mobile for the past couple of years (if not more).

I am utterly confused by this!

My guess is you need to get another license code.
Unfortunately, you will need one per pc/mobile combination - assuming you will always use the same TMobile, you will have to do it for every laptop you intend to use.

If this is still confusing, you should search for 'licensing' and/or 'activation' on the forum, you should find what you need.

To me, this sounds more like a problem with the old dongle. Ask your friend if he previously used the Mobile with two USB cables. If so, the old USB dongle drivers are still active, and need to be deleted. If you can confirm this, I - or someone from Avolites - might give instructions of how to do this.
