issue with "timing with palettes" ?

Postby PeterM » 01 May 2014, 13:24

Hello,

I tried to create some Position Palettes with a saved time included in the palette. To accomplish this I followed the manual part 5.5.
When I click on a palette with timing includes it seems to work, but when I look in detail the first part of the movement (position palette) starts with a jump.
So it seems to me that the first part of the fade is executed without fading. I can also a jump in the DMX values when I monitor this.

When I try the same with colour palettes (for an RGB LED fixture) I can also see a small jump when I hit the palette, after the jump the fading to the new colour continues.

Can someone investigate this ?

Investigated and confirmed. How strange. I will get it in the system.

As a workaround I found that setting a delay in time will make the fade smooth. For example delay in 0.01 sec.

This is already under investigation for version 8.
