Show Library - Fixture selection bug ?
Posted: 10 Apr 2014, 02:11
Hello,
Okay, long post lost because of the troubles on the forum lately...
I'll go for the short version, hoping it's still explicit.
Selecting fixtures in Show Library doesn't work if you have created multiple fixture pages.
In Show Library window, you're only able to select fixtures of page one if page one is selected in the Fixtures workspace - fixtures of page two if page two... and so on.
In Show Library window, when I try, for example, to touch and swipe handle 1 to 5 of page two, handle 1 to 5 of page *one* are selected.
No big deal for running a show, but it just doesn't work as one would expect...
Also, regarding fixture selection, I haven't been able to do what's specified in the manual
in section
15. Using different Avolites consoles
15.1 The console controls
(Page 219, for now) :
"When selecting a range of fixtures, you have to use the touch screen
slightly differently to how you’d use buttons; touch and hold the first
in the range, then touch and hold the last, then release the first (...)"
This just doesn't work for me.
Since this method is not mentioned in section 4.1.1 ('Selecting fixtures and dimmers for control'), I guess it's an error in the manual, more than a bug.
That being said, I'm really satisfied with the Tiger Touch II I just received. Great job.
(But I wonder if they are all that loud or if it's just mine : 63 dB, here... Is there a tweak for that ?)
