Titan Mobile flightcase - What does your TM setup look like?

Hey guys...

Now the Titan Mobile has been on the road for some years.

I have tried some different solutions for my TM setup, during the years:

1:
All things stuck into 2 AVO-bags
Took toooo long to set up and connect everything

2:
All things build into a custom flightcase
Quick and easy but didn't think it through before building the case.
Also first flightcase was build for:
- Titan Mobile
- 12" HP TouchSmart Laptop "flip screen"
- keyboard and mouse
- LitLites
+
A second flightcase:
- BFC2000 8 fader wing (midi)
- 17" Touchscreen (second display)

3:
Then I got a 21" Asus All-In-One touchPC
And then I was back to having TM in AVO-bag and the 21" TouchPC under the arm.

4:
Current setup: (Hopefully sticking to this ;-) )
- 23" HP TouchSmart All-In-One PC
- Titan Mobile
- Keyboard with integrated trackball
- BCF2000 8 fader wing (midi)
- LitLites

I've been searching the web for ideas and found some.
But maybe YOU have already got the best idea ?

I know a lot of you have Storm/Peli cases and they are cool
But I'm looking for a "lid off and power up"-solution.

So...
SHOW US YOUR PERSONAL TM SETUP :-)

Some of the best I've found so far:

Great idea but no space for extra wing/keyboard

Space enough for everything. The extra fader wing (BCF2000 or even better a TM Fader Wing) could go into a drawer.

Another idea from the web.

Useful post!

But don't forget, there is an ergonomic problem with TM — all outputs and inputs are on the right side.

Hi

Why is it an ERGONOMIC problem ?

With ins/outs on the side, we can access them at all times
without having to remove TM or Screen
(As you would have to, with plugs on the rear side)

:-)

That's partially right! How many times per show You need to access to outs/ins? Placing them to the right brings problems to road case design.

With my 23" touchpc there is no way that screen and TiMo will be the same width.
About 20cm in difference.

So no problem with the plugs.
And if TiMo did had plugs at the rear side,
I would make cables extending out to a panel to have direct access without having to move TiMo or Screen.

Hi everybody!
I would like to ask how are you managing your multiple usb cables.
Let's say...I have this Asus sx 300 with 3 usb ports....
So TM uses 2 (btw....WTF?!?!?!?!?!) and then I have only one left for:

-Second touch screen.
-External periferics ( keyboard with trackball)
-Usb pen
-Usb Lamps ( ok this is a bit of an extra...heheh)

Usb Hubs.....??? Are they reliable?
I remeber inside the pearl expert we could find half of the usb cables of the world...hubbed all together :-)
So I was wondering if there is a kind o routing tha AVO may suggest ( ex. TM on a hub and all the rest on other hubs etc.)
Cheers and again sorry for my crappy english

The TM only needs one Usb cable now.
I would be inclined to connect the TM directly and then have a hub for anything else.

The second port used to contain a separate dongle to unlock the software however this has not been required since version 5. Later Titan Mobiles no not contain the dongle and the port has been covered.

So even if I have a 2 USB ports TM I only need to plug one?

Correct, the only port you should use is port A (the one near the top of Titan Mobile). Port B is now redundant and provides no benefit.

Hello,

at the moment I'm looking for a good solution for a case as well.
I'm using a Titan Mobile with a Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
It should be a case where I can keep the Titan Mobile connected with USB and DMX (some space on the right side) and where I can place the Surface with the keyboard above.

My idea at the moment is to have something like that:

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Jürgen

Hi JSSound

Great setup , I'm really interrested by this solution , but does the laptop fit well on the shelf when you close the flight case ?

regards

Good morning!

This is the case that I used for that setup:
http://www.magma-bags.de/produkte/cws-300-plus/controller-workstation-300-plus-2-e.php3

There is approx. 3cm space for the laptop if you want to keep it installed during transport.
For my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 or for my MacBook that is enough.
