Ocz Vertex 2 80 gb firmware upgrade

Hi guys, it' s possible to have the firmware upgrade for this ssd?My hold hdd is broke after 7 years, during i'm programming a show.The ocz vertex 2 80gb is the only one i've found in that location.
My desk is a Pearl Expert Titan ver. 7.1

If the drive has been purchased recently it probably already has up-to-date firmware. If you do need to update it might be safer to get it directly from the OCZ site just in case (assuming this drive has not been supplied by Avolites). You will need to create a linux bootable stick but it's not difficult. All the information and relevant links can be found here.

I really can not strongly advise you enough to contact an Avolite's distributor to source a replacement drive. We have seen significant problems with off the shelf drives. The original OCZ drives have firmware specifically written for Avolites to address reliability issues. I am not sure the drive you have purchased will be stable.
