Help for my strange question

Postby mzx » 06 May 2005, 05:00

Hi i come from China.
I am using pearl 2004 and i meet a strange situation was:

1.I saved a memory for some fixtures with circle shape. Then clear.
2.I start do a chase as normal and saved.

The strange thing happened. While i raised the chase fader, the step 1 of it will do the circle shape as step 1 in my described.

Could anyone tell me why this happened?
Or have any function in console can cause this situation ?

Thanks.

Sounds like you are using an old software version.

You need to upgrade to the Pearl 2004 v1.1 software.

Thank you !

I will send your suggestion to my friend, that was his scene.
We are both use the old version software but i never meet that.

In mention of new softawre, why we don't upgrade to till now?Because there is one thing i care about:
I was told from my other friend(An old hand in pearl) which use new version software(I don't know which version 2004v1.0 or v1.1 he used). One day after he finished all work that taked him whole day,and saved his program to diskette. Before the performance start,no one knew what did he do or what happened(He didn't tell me more details),all program he maked losed!Even reloaded from diskette...
That is terrible to me.We know we never have more time in a grand show.

Possibly a faulty disk &/or desk.

However, the old (2000) based software has some significant bugs.

2004 v1.1 fixes all of these and contains many new features. I can confirm it is very reliable and stable.
