Hi,

I have recently updated my laptop to 7.1 to use with a titan mobile, however I have since done a few shows and
Have noticed the software lags.

For instance I will be programming and it will completely freeze for around 3 seconds and then any buttons pressed while frozen will all be executed once it has un-frozen. It just does this at random and I cannot seem to replicate it by doing a certain action. It also freezes half way through a scene change, so I will press go, the lights will start their change and then it will freeze, so will the lights then they will all suddenly snap to the scene they we're originally fading to.

As you can imagine it is very annoying and not ideal!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the answer I received from my regional manager:

We have recently become aware of a problem in this area, and anticipate a fix in 7.2 (out next month). For the moment the best I can suggest is that he downgrade to 7 if it is causing serious issues.

+ Cuelist Cue Legends does not update. So you can't see which cue of the cuelist is running. (other than open/select the cuelist).

Lets make the 7.2 NOT NEXT MONTH, BUT THIS WEEK! (Just get a team together, work around the clock, build a new software version and upload it! Lets say 48H max?)

Next month is too late.. By that time i would have thrown away my Sapphire Touch and bought a a Hog4.

Since the 7.1 release i've also been experiencing software lags and other software bugs like; legends that don't appear, Fan functions that do not work, DMX stops (fixtures suddenly move fast during slow movements) Desk that does not respond a while (very annoying during flash moments)

And a not so very important issue; I couldn't get the app connected to the console. ip-range was the same as router and ipad/android phone. there was no console other than the demo to connect to.

Update please as soon as possible??

To try and help things get fixed quickly can people please provide any more details on 'cuelist cue legends don't update', 'legends don't appear' and 'fan functions don't work', preferably some lovely steps to repeat?

I can't help with the Fan issue, but the legends seems a random problem...
I had this issue on a show. Restart the software or the whole desk didn't solve it. At home i loaded the show, same issue... Restart software, issue solved. ???
I can't repeat the issue.... it just sometimes happens... I know they can't fix it when it's not repeatable.

What happens (sometimes):
If you record a cue, then set a Legend (Picture), draw something, push OK. The cue won't get the legend all the time. Sometime it helps to set the legend again en choose the before made legend.
If that don't work, going to the next playback page and back resolve in appearing of the legends. (strange indeed)

The other problem is when you make a cueLIST, the cue legends (so not the list name) won't be visible. Only the first cue legend will be displayed. Release the list and start again fixes the issue.
I guess the problem seems to be with the refresh of the legends of the playbacks...

Hopefully it helps a little...

The software lags are the main and most annoying issue. Hopefully fixed in a few days!

I'm struggling to see the problem with cuelist cue legends.

I test creating cuelist entering legends as I go or by editing later. When cuelist is fired I see legends in connected wheel view and above the playback. Each time I press go the area above the playback shows the current and next cue legend. The connected wheel view scrolls down if the number of cues exceeds the amount that can be displayed at once.

More details needed. Which console? Which area (above playback/wheel view etc.)? Preferably please provide precise steps to demonstrate the issue.

I know it's a hard to get problem...
Because i can't create the issue on purpose also...

Details legends from cue's on a ceulist missing:
-Tiger Touch (multiply desks)
-Missing legend above the playback. (above the wheels and on the {VIEW}+{Playback} pop-up they are visible)
-Legend of the cue's are made after recorded all cue's

Details legend who won't appear the first time after making them:
-Tiger Touch, Sapphire Touch, Expert Touch.
Steps:
record a cue> set legend> {Legend} {Picture} draw something {Enter}
Nothing happens...
{Legend} {Picture} chose resent made picture {Enter}
Legend works
If not...
{playback page up} > {playback page down}
Legends viable

I also can't get a alway's NOT working way to recreate the issue

I had the same problem with 7.1.
I reported this 2 weeks ago too.
Make a new show, record play back, set legend, nothing appears on play back.
If you change pages then they will pop up.
The fix is to save show and reload it, the problem is gone, bit of a work round but it shouldn't be there
this late in the day of a software release, just to may bugs.

"Good" to hear I'm not the only one with this problem. So a user bug, seems out of the question

The fan function on the Sapphire touch,

Maybe i've found the problem. The split in parts function would not respond to any value given (1 is default). if i would have 6 MH and the value given is 6 there would be no fan! correct? value 1 would make a default fan. there was no response. All the MH did the same thing. Only in split in 3 or 2 would give a fan. but not the desired one. I've tried it again another day and it was working fine. because the time pressure that day it was not possible to do a restart.
Also the problem the desk issued me was that i could not connect to it (android or ipad) Did not tried it again after that day. (sorry) I will post a new reply when it happens again.

Titan v7.2 is now available to download from the website. This release is to resolve the lag that some users have experienced in v7.1 when firing or killing playbacks.

Day after my tour ends of course lol
