Hi, going to take the plunge and try out remote, no way to get ethernet to the console (Expert), the spare routers we have around don't do wireless bridging which is what I am assuming I need, wireless bridge at console to connect to our wireless network. Is there a particular one anyone recommends? Thanks

I'm not aware that you would need anything special. Pretty much any wireless router or access point should work.

If I have read correctly I need some way to get wireless to the console and people have said not to use a USB wireless dongle, so as near as I can tell I need a wireless bridge since an access point would only send wireless, not receive. So wireless out of our network, to wireless bridge connected by ethernet to the console. Nothing special just something that can be a wireless bridge as opposed to an access point. Thanks

The way I understood things was bridging is for when you want to connect two access points or networks together. Gregory can probably give a more accurate answer but certainly I've not had any issues with the various domestic routers I've used and I've tried quite a few and they're nothing special. Just connect router to console, connect remote device to router wirelessely and make sure both have IP's in the same subnet. No harm in trying that before going and buying something esle.

Ah ok, I was completely misunderstanding the method. I thought I needed to connect both my console and the app to our internal network. Now I see I simply create a separate network with the console being the wan connection (I think) and the app connecting wirelessly to that network that the console is broadcasting. Will try tomorrow when I get in with our existing router. Thanks!

There is no WAN in this setup. It's just two devices on a LAN with private range IP addresses. The internet would be the WAN if it was connected.

Got it working great with my Android phone, thanks! Wanted to try it with my iPad and cannot find the app in the App Store, was it pulled for some reason?

Strictly speaking it is an iPhone app but you can still download it for iPad if you view iPhone apps.

I tried that, searching titan remote and avolite returned no results :-/

What about windows phone?

I don't think there are any plans to make an app for Windows Phone at present. Although Windows Phone is steadily increasing in popularity, iPhone and Android between them still make up the bulk of the market.
