Titan Remote Help

Hi,

I am running Titan V7 on a Pearl Expert.

I don't currently have a spare router so my desk is hooked into my Windows Laptop, I have bridged the wifi and ethernet connections so my Expert is connected in.

When I open Titan Remote it can't find the desk, when I scan with Fing, a network scanning app, the expert is detected at the correct IP address.

Any Ideas why Titan remote wouldn't work in this case?

Thanks

I'm having an identical issue with my Pearl Expert, Titan V7! Except that I do have it hooked up to a router. The console simply never appears in the list of the remote app. I am also using Fing on my iPhone and it shows the console on the network at the correct IP number. Last bit of info: The iPhone is still on iOS 6.X. Does the Titan Remote require iOS 7?

I've tried the usual restarting everything in various combinations, changing IPs, resetting etc. No Joy!

I'd really like to use the remote. Please help!

Cheers

If you want to run the Remote on an iOS device, this might be the solution: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2742

Please switch your device to flight mode before starting the remote. It is at least worth a try. Any feedback is appreciated, to make future versions better.

Im having the same problems too - desk is connected to the wifi, address set correctly but the iphone just wont find the desk no matter how many different ways I try. Tried the flight mode idea too but no luck there.

Hi All,
Good news! Titan Remote is now working on my iPhone and iPad.
Here's what I did...

Changed to a different router (exact same IP settings). I'll be trying the old router later because I really don't think this was part of the fix.
Upgraded iPhone to iOS 7.
This seemed to fix the iPhone problem.

The new router did NOT fix the iPad problem (which was already on iOS7).

For the iPad, I turned on Airplane Mode as suggested, then tried the Titan App. No joy. "Well of course no joy!!" WiFi is turned off in Airplane Mode. Duh.
So I left Airplane Mode on and turned on Wifi only.

Bingo! The console showed up immediately in the app.

Suggestion: Perhaps the app is getting confused between Wifi network connections and cell network connections. Limiting the connection to WiFi certainly implies this. This could also be why other apps can successfully ping the console no matter what mode the device is in.
That said, I am not an IT guy or an app programmer so I'll let all you Avo-dudes sort it out.

Cheers!

Yeah, you're right that this is a confusion between the different network adaptors - and disabling WAN forces the remote to use the WiFi connector.

Sorry for the confusion with Flight mode - at least this helped another guy, probably the same cause. (I am more an android boy, thus don't know much about iOS)

Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback - I already let the developers know of that problem.

I've been looking for that too a very long time. In the app store on the iPad, you have to select "Apps for iPhone" when searching for the app. This selection is on the top left of the screen.

I hoop Avo can come up with a full-size version of this app soon. :)

Agreed!!! Yo Avo! My sound guy friend parades around the stage, iPad in hand, controlling every aspect of his Yamaha LS9. How in the world can I represent the lighting community with any pride squinting at my iPhone or using an iPad with the same app just enlarged?

Now please understand that I'm eternally grateful for the new mobile app, but nothing would give me greater pleasure than to rub the sound guy's nose in a beautiful control app using all the screen real estate an iPad (or Android tablet for that matter) has to offer.

And having it done by LDI in Vegas would be great! Just think of he party that would ensue! Woohoo! Dancing girls, libations and a killer iPad app... What could be better?

Until November then...
