Communicate with Remote

Postby boydrice » 18 Sep 2013, 14:35

Sorry I have a really important question on one thingh then I have'nt understand. I'm a operetor on Palazzo Congressi in Florence Italy and I work with a Avolites Tiger Touch with a 6.0 upgrade, I've download the 7th and I will should install them soon. My problem is then I cant understand how make communicate the Remote with the consolles. Avolites have not a WI-FI inside for communicete with my Mobile? I've put behind the Lan cable and I've turn on in System Mode directly with the cable from my line of work. He see the IP address. My question is: I have to install a wifi router from lan cable and the consolles. How can I do for communicates each other?

Connect WiFi router to console.

Set console IP address and mobile to unique IP's in the same subnet as the router.

For example, if the router IP (sometimes called 'gateway' IP) is 192.168.1.254 then you could set the console to 192.168.1.1 and the mobile to 192.168.1.2.

The router IP can vary but almost all domestic routers are in the range 192.168.x.x. Just make sure the first three numbers match on the three devices and the last number is different for each (between 1 and 254).

One tip! :D :D

I spent several hours before I found the solution

When you have istallerat Acccent point to the desk.
You should NOT look for "Local Area Network" in the file tree!
You must enter the correct ip number in the Titan software, which will enter can be found in the right upper part of the window

Also please know that the version of the Remote must match the version of the console's software. Version 7 is somewhat tricky: this was when the remote was introduced - and this is when extended licencing was introduced, with version 7.0 and 7.1 being time-limited. That being said, I'd recommend to go straight for version 8 at least, which should run reasonably okay on old hardware. You can still get Titan Remote v8 from the usual app stores, but v7 Remote is no available any more.
