Symmetrical group

I really like the option to select the ODD/EVEN 1in3 1in4 etc. groups. But I’d like to have this symmetrical on stage when I’m doing this. So for example when I have 8 LED fixtures and I select 1 in 4 I would have LED fixture 1 and 5. But what I want is fixture 1 and 8 so that left and right is symmetrical.
I already tried to change to fixture order to 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 this indeed changed the order but wasn’t the expected result. Is there a way to make the groups symmetrical? So that when I have for example 8 LED fixtures and I want to set all X in Y fixtures to red. I would always like to have fixture 1 and 8 the same color, 2 and 7 etc. So they should be linked for this group order.
Is there a way to do this?

I'm not sure if this is quite what you are looking for but it might point you in the right direction:
Using a group with the symmetrical order as you have described (ie. 1,2,3,4,4,3,2,1) if you just enter 2 in the selection pattern it will select the two fixtures set to order 1 (ie. fixtures 1 & 8 ). If you then hold shift+next (fix +1 on some consoles/laminates) it will jump to the next block (ie. fixtures 2 & 7). So this way you can relatively quickly cycle through the symmetrical pairs.
Does that help?

Thank you for your reply.
It looks like it works. But I only tried with even numbers. I think when I use uneven numbers it won't work. So I think it's more ore less a workaround.
What I do:
I arange the fixtures for example 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1. Then is select the group and press [ALL] 2 IN 8. I have to press two times [Fixt +1] for the next block. This is on a titan mobile.
I thaught that the fixtures were linked when you set the page lay out or group order. Which I think is also logical? So is this a bug or is this like it should be? If not I think it should be nice if this should be possible that the fixtures are linked when you set the fixture order.

I don't see why it won't work with odd numbers. Note that if you use 2 IN 8 it won't loop correctly. Just inputting '2' will. By using shift (Avo) + Fix+1/Fix-1 you it will advance in blocks although I guess in this case it's still two button presses!
I tend to agree with you that where fixture order numbers are duplicated it should link in the pattern selection. There might be a reason it's not this way though. I will look to see if there's anything already in the system.
