Tiger Touch v6.1
External Monitor: ViewSonic TD2220 (VGA/DVI + USB Connection for Touch)

Initially, I connected the external monitor (EM) to the console while the console was on. Doing this, the console detected the EM, but provided no touch functionality whatsoever (not surprising), and identified the EM as "Generic PnP Monitor" (or something like that).

I then turned it off, and then back on, et voila, the console recognized the EM as the ViewSonic TD2220. Now comes the interesting part. After the restart, when touching either monitor, the cursor moved only on the TT's monitor. I played around a little bit with the Touch Screen Setup, and currently have the touch functionality working separately on both monitors. EXCEPT, the functionality is REVERSED! Touching the TT's built-in screen moves the cursor on the EM, and vice-versa (with directionality swapped, presumably due to the upside-down-ness of the TT's screen).

Suggestions?

Hmm... more info:

When I click "Display" from Control Panel, it identifies the EM as the TD2220. However, when I click "Advanced Settings" and go to the "Monitor" tab, it's telling me the Monitor Type is still "Generic PbP Monitor."

It's tough for me to parse this, but I think what you're saying is that I should find the monitor driver, load it into the TT, and run it, and then everything should work?

I don't remember if the monitor came with a CD containing the Driver (and I'm not in a position to check), nor does ViewSonic's website have a driver for me to download. However, VS does say that this monitor supports the USB HID touch driver, and is fully compatible with Windows 7.

Does anything in this post from Gregory help?

This screen claims to specifically be designed to work with Windows Touch (and works perfectly fine on my Win8 laptop). When I go to "Tablet PC Settings" in Control Panel and select the EM, it's telling me that "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this display."

I can't find that file. I do see c:\program files\touchscreen v.1.0.0-usb which contains a setup.exe. Should I try that?

No. Chances are Touchkit has been superceded. I was just repeating some suggestions found from a forum search.

At this point it may be best to run the recovery stick on the console to reset the settings for the built-in touchscreen to defaults. You can leave the external touchscreen connected while running the recovery as this will make sure it searches for drivers for it when it installs the rest of the operating system. If you choose Standard Recovery instead of Full Erase, the recovery will attempt to keep your existing saved shows and update to v6.1 automatically; however to be on the safe side, please ensure that you have a copy of any important show files before running the recovery.

For the external touchscreen you will need to configure which monitor it is connected to. This is done in Tablet PC Settings by pressing the Setup button at the top. This will ask you to identify each touchscreen in turn by tapping on the display however this does not include the internal touchscreen, as it works through a different system, so you should press Enter to move to the next screen.
