What harddrive exactly is it?

Please know that the harddrive updater might give such an error message even if it worked successfully - that's also mentioned in the update guide.

I'd proceed with installing Titan 6 - the health check will tell you whether further updates are required.

Please know that those harddrive updaters are not exactly from Avolites, but from the manufacturers themselves...

hi there,

I have the same update problem

still getting the message can;t read package, and after rebooting stil version 1.27 from the SSD drive

anyone with a solution?

is it smart to proceed with installing V6 en after that doing a Health check too see if it worked out?

I'd definitely proceed. Maybe the HealthCheck which comes up when Titan starts is some wiser. And if not, you haven't done anything wrong. Firmware update should go in due course with upgrading to v6, but essentially it's not a real pre-requisite.

Then agan, even if v6 instally successfully - what I presume -, you should really go ahead fixing this issue, or maybe swapping the harddrive for another one.

hey Sebas :)

i tried another USB stick again and it worked well the SSD is now on 1.37

but i've made a V6 stick allready but that one isn't able to boot so i;m formatting the SSD usb stick now and trying to put V6 on that one

hopefully that will do the job :D :D

any other tips??

If you followed all the other instructions then you are ready to go.

Only one thing I would add, in case you plan to connect an external touchscreen: check its drivers. E.g. the Iiyama 19" touchscreen drivers are not included with v6 - you need to install them separately.

Have fun with v6.

At which stage do you see this message?

If after the first stage of installing v6, then it's normal window$ behavior: at first all files are copied, then a reboot happens (and you are asked to remove the stick). Then you see this error. Then you go into the BIOS and re-adjust the HD boot order... Covered in the upgrade guide.

Or did this happen at another stage?

i make the bootable USB stick with V6, boot the console (chapter 12.3) and after point 9 nothing happens, after setting first boot device at 7 and rebooting the console reboots and i get the bootfailure message, there is no step 11 and 12 i'mn affraid.............

should i try to set boot device to Hard disk allready??

i've tried but that will boot V5 and seems to work (on visualiser)

maybe i have to look for another USB stick again.

i have 3, 1 will only boot the bios update, 1 will only boot the SSD update en till now not any stick will boot V6

Have you upgraded the BIOS before? If yes, make sure 'First Boot Device' is set to 'USB device' - as like in 12.7

If not, upgrade the BIOS first. However, to do that, with the USB stick connected, go to 'harddrive boot priority' (if I remember correctly) and see if the stick pops up there as USB hard drive. Unfortunately, with the BIOS upgrade, some menus have changed - and I do not sit in front of a console right now.

i updated the BIOS first as said in the manual and changed all settings like in the manual

i tried to make a bootable disk now on another PC but still the same problem

only to be sure: have you relocated the Titan dongle? It needs to sit on the USB hub now, but was mounted on top of the mainboard before. You can even totally remove it, install v6, and plug it in before the first start of v6.

no i've not moved the dongle

because the manual doesn't told me to?

or have i missed it?
