I am doing my first job on a pearl expert, and want to know if it is possible to control the rate from my atomics on my playbackfaders?

Hope someone can help me in a hurry :)

I think this is what you need to do
-Clear programmer by pressing clear
-Set the rate at 100% and record it to a playback using record by channel
-Clear programmer again
-Hit edit times, choose the playback and change to mode 2

Hope this works

Yes. Just one missing step - change rate manually back to zero (or your minimum speed). The fader will then fade between this value and the one recorded in your playback.

Alternatively, you could set the Atomics to 1ch mode. This gives variable rate on fader with intensity fixed at full.

No. A cue can only contain one value for any given fixture/attribute.

Setting a cue to mode 2 means it will fade from whatever the current value is to the value stored in that cue proportional to the fader position.
