more and more costly Time Settings in Titan V5

Postby Elli » 02 Nov 2011, 20:35

Hallo AVO User´s

in my opinion I have the feeling, the Edit Time Settings take more Time than the Cue programming him self. I rarely use fading for Shutter, Prisma Macro´s, Control or Rotations. But now I have to set all this Attributes to zero, step by step for the most Cue´s. My imagination of a Quick Time Setting can look as following Example:

First bevor starting programming you can set a " General Time Preset " that will be used until you change / override it. Covering all Attributes of patched Fixtures. Like this Way:

Global Time = 1.5 sec.
------------------------
Dimmer = snap or 0
Shutter = snap or 0
Pan/Tilt = global
Colorwheel = snap or 0
Cyan = global
Magenta = global
Yellow = global
Gobo = snap or 0
Gob-Rot = global
Focus = global
Red = 0.2 sec
Blue = 0.2 sec
Green = 0.2 sec
Iris = snap or 0
Zoom = global
Control = snap or 0

So all Cue´s will be set to this General Timing. All Attributes with " global " respond to the normal Fade Time in Edit Time Menu. When you finish programming, you can set some special Cue´s to varying Times in the normal way by Edit Time Menu and the Attribute Times. But the most you have not to edit.
I think this can save much Time by programming. Only a pious wish!

By the way:
I more Times asked AVOLITES for this Tool:

A Highlight Function for unpatched Adress in Patch Menu like this:

Wheel A = Adress 1 to 512, Wheel B = Test Level 0 to 100 %, Wheel C = Universe 1 to 12

So it where easy to find the Fixture in the Houserigg. I am often on Tour in small Club´s, have my Moving´s with me and have to use the Houserigg. For me it can be a usefull little Tool.

I was told, the User don't ask for.

Truly, I am the only, I can´t believe :wink:

Well I would second these two requests, so now there's two. I think a "global time preset" would be a great idea and cut down on a lot of programming time, and I would love the address check feature described above as well (or something else like it).

I would also ask for a way to have a default release mask to be set. Having to edit every playback's release mask is quite cumbersome for me and having a default release mask would save a ton of time.

Thanks! I hope that these can be added.

I'd second those, and add individual release time.

I also asked for this feature' so that makes 3 of us!

Me too... that now makes it 4! I also agree with all the other suggestions too.
