Titan 5 pixel mapper

Postby sdhartog » 25 Oct 2011, 21:01

Hi,

I have installed Titan version 5 on the Tiger Touch and created my first pixel mapping on some led bars.
How can I do pixel mapping on each CMY/RGB channels of one fixture? Or is the pixel mapping only for complete fixtures?

Kind regards,

Have you updated your fixture library?

What you're asking for is oing along with a feature called 'subfixtures' - if you patch such bars/battens, console should automatically know its cells. Try <Unfold> and the patched fixture; a new window should appear with all the individual cells - which will be recognized by the pixel mapper.

Else, if that unfold thing doesn't work, and instead you can toggle to different RGB/CMY pages, then your fixture library is probably outdated.

Please refer to the manual, 'subfixtures', for more details.

Not necessarily. There are a large number of files to update and not all have been yet. I've done somewhere around 2/3rd's of the library with the more common fixtures prioritised.

If, after updating, your fixture still has the RGB in pages rather than as subfixtures via unfold then let me know which fixture it is and I will sort it out for you.

Yesterday I tried two fixtures (for example CLS Atmosphere and Eurolite LED Bar 648/5 RGB) but no one was recognized with sub-fixtures.

Can you give me a couple of fixture names which are already changed? So I can verify the installation of Version 5 and Personality files.

Thanks in advance!

Both of those fixtures are compatible with pixel mapper.

I can see the needed cell configuration in the personality of CLS Atmosphere (dated 10-09-2011), but in the Personality Builder the cell configuration is not there (blank) in Cells.
Also the sub fixtures are not recognized and showed with the Unfold function/button.
What is going wrong?

I have no idea.

Everything is correct in Personality Builder and the fixtures unfold to reveal subfixtures when I test.

Which mode are you patching? It should be 13 DMX (1 DMX and 12 DMX are legacy modes although 12 DMX is pixel mapper compatible anyway).

None of the Atmosphere (or other fixtures) types is unfolding.
When selecting <unfold> and then the fixture, the fixture view is showing me only 1 fixture in the top left. (I also have to scroll up from the bottom of the fixture view...)
I have checked that the new fixture Personalities are in the right path and I can see them in the Personality editor on the Tiger Touch console.

Has it something to do with that I updated (from 4.0 --. 5.0) the Tiger touch in stead of a clean install of Titan 5?

Are you patching in a new show or is this an old show?

If it's old then you can use patch/[update personality] but due to the nature of sub fixtures this will unfortunately remove associated programming. Hopefully there will be a solution to this in the future.

If it is in a new show then do they show up in layout editor (create a group, [shapes and effects], [edit layout], select group)?

Yes, with a new show it works.
I also tried to re-load the fixture personalities, but that is not working. Now I have to programm our shows again...

Many thanks for helping me out!!
