Pearl 2004-attributes on softkeys

Postby hans vd broeck » 24 Oct 2004, 20:46

Hi,

On the new Pearl 2004 one can select attributes through the softkeys, e.g. colours (cfr p127 sec 3.1.3 in the manual). These are for some fixtures preprogrammed (like the Martin Mac600), but not for others.
Is it possible to program them yourselves? I looked in the .r20 file of the Mac600 and I see something strange in the PFTable for the colours which probably contains the information:

-The palette number is -1 for these palettes on the softkeys
-Instead of -1 as usual after the name of the PF table, it says 29

Is there somewhere a manual or a reference how you can program them yourselves? I have experience on editing the default PFtables, but I couldn't find anything concerning the softkeys in the manual.

Hi Hans,

Yes it is (roughly!) detailed in the manual - Page 210 Sect 14.2.10

With this and using an example file such as the Mac600 you should be able to figure it out.

The -1 means the palette is not assigned to a button (for the 'automatically create Preset Focuses?' option when patching)

Hope that helps,

Nic.
